On the sidewalk along 801 Wabash Avenue are several clusters of Lady Bug stencils. They were created in Sept 2018 by the same artist who created the Honey Bear murals scattered around Wabash Avenue. The artist who goes by “fnnch” is from San Francisco and was brought in to participate in the “Wabash Walls!” mural project.
The bugs are all uniform in size and appearance due to the stencilling process. Each bug is about the size of a wide foot print and are done in the red, black, and a little bit of white paint. There is also slightly orange shading of red to add a touch of 3D effect to the bugs.
