Wheat

Details

If you drive along US 52, there are grain elevators on the west side of the highway along the railroad tracks. With such an obvious feature that was basically a vertical blank slate, Moberg used equipment to lift him into place to paint a giant shaft of wheat on the side of the silos near 6th Street.

Facing south, the mural catches the full sun each day and is visible for all northbound travelers to see. This was one of two murals Moberg has done in Fowler.
